Cross Creek Sandwich Shop is Expanding Its Space

Cross Creek Sandwich Shop, a staple of the lunch scene in downtown Conway, is in the middle of an expansion that will see the restaurant double its size.

Cross Creek currently occupies 1,800 square feet at 1003 Oak St. And will soon double that after agreeing to take 1,800 square feet from its next-door neighbor, Jenifer’s Antiques. This will allow the restaurant to seat more than 100 patrons.

“For years, I could remember talking to Chris (Jennings) about how we could squeak more space out of the 1,800 square feet we had to work with,” Cross Creek Owner Caitlin Bailey said. “The topic seemed daunting and like something we could just kick down the road for as long as possible. As we have experienced this new phase of growth with catering, and more people coming in to eat with us on a daily basis, we’ve reached the point where we can no longer put it off.”

The expansion will add more space to the kitchen, build a pantry space, increase the preparation areas for lunch-time service, add a dedicated catering preparation area, and open a bakery area.

To accomplish the renovation, Cross Creek has started a crowd-funding campaign to raise its goal of $57,500. Visit crosscreeksandwichshop.com/the-big-news to learn more about the renovation.
