The number of homes sold in Faulkner County in 2024 is up slightly from the same time a year ago, while median home prices and prices per square foot remain a fraction of what is seen across the country.
According to Federal Reserve Economic Data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the median sale price for a home in the U.S. in May was $420,800 and $233 per square foot. Median home prices are 38.2% and 40.6% lower in Faulkner County and Conway, while median price per square foot is 35.8% and 36.8% lower, respectively.
The median home price in Faulkner County in May was $260,000, up from $237,562 in 2023. Per square foot, the median home in the county cost $149.51, compared to $144.79 a year ago.
The median Conway home was $249,950 in May, up from $224,853 in 2023. That comes to $147.14 per square foot, compared to $143.58 in 2023.
Through May, there have been six more homes sold in 2024 compared to 2023. Faulkner County eclipsed 600 homes sold through the first five months of the year, ending at 602. In Conway, the number of homes sold is down 19 to 394 in 2024.
The valuation of homes sold in Faulkner County is up 9.5% to $178.65 million through May this year. In Conway, home sale totals are up 4.6% to $116.13 million through the first five months of 2024.
