Don Pepe’s Gourmet Burritos & Tacos has broken ground on a new location at 2525 Prince St.  

Co-owner Jose Castro said the new location, next to Shadrachs Coffee, is expected to open within the next 12-16 months, placing a possible open date in summer 2024. The new location will take the place of Don Pepe’s current Conway location at 2225 Prince St.  

The new standalone location will be 3,500-SF and feature a drive-thru window, Castro said. It will increase seating capacity to 90 and add 1,000-SF of space over the current location. 

Castro and his brother Ernesto Castro own Los 3 Potrillos, in addition to Don Pepe’s which also has a Bryant location that opened in 2019. The construction is being completed by JEG Contractors.
