Glazin Pottery Studio Coming to Downtown Conway

Ever wanted to paint your own pottery piece? There’s a new place coming to Oak Street in downtown Conway where you can!

Glazin Pottery Studio will open July 21 at 1105 Oak St., in the former UCA Downtown. Patrons will be able to walk in, select a pottery piece, and start painting.

Shop owner Lainey Pettigrew said Glazin will also offer birthday parties for kids and adults, bachelorette parties, work and group events, and more. Eventually, Pettigrew hopes to offer pottery and guided painting classes. Look for those next spring.

Pettigrew, a former school art teacher, said she wanted to create a community-based atmosphere that allowed people of all ages and backgrounds to come in and enjoy painting. The idea behind the shop is to allow people to create a piece of artwork they can use afterword, she said.

Pricing depends on the piece of pottery chosen, which range from $20-$70. That price includes the piece, supplies used, and other services. Available pieces include dinnerware, drinkware, planters, piggy banks, boxes, and figurines.

Glazin Painting Pottery Studio is set for its grand opening July 21. It will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during the summer. Once school resumes, shop hours will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
