The wait is almost over. Whataburger is confirmed for a Conway location on Oak Street. The City of Conway broke the news on its Facebook page last week, announcing what will be the chain’s 16th location in Arkansas.

The restaurant will be located at 813 E. Oak St. behind Panda Express, near the intersection of I-40 and Oak Street.

The $2.3 million project will be completed by Mitchell Brothers Construction of Arkansas.

Whataburger began in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Since then, it has expanded to more than 900 restaurants in 14 states with more than 50,000 employees.

Currently, there are Arkansas locations in Benton, Bentonville, El Dorado, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Little Rock, Magnolia, North Little Rock, Rogers, Springdale, Searcy, Siloam Springs, Texarkana, and Van Buren.
