Faulkner County grew 1.9% from 2022 to 2023, and has experienced 4.9% growth from its 2020 population estimate, according to recent data released by U.S. Census Bureau in the American Community Survey.

Faulkner County’s growth from 2022 was the second-largest in the state, tied with Washington County. The growth moves Faulkner County to an estimated population of 129,951, making it the fourth most-populous county in the state.

More U.S. counties experienced population growth in 2023 than loss in 2023, according the census bureau, bolstered by faster growth in the South than any other region of the country.

The Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway MSA grew to an estimated population of 764,045, up from 748,990 in 2020, and 757,768 in 2022.

It remains the largest MSA in the state by more than 170,000.
