EDUCATION
Terry Fiddler has been reappointed to the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees for a seven-year term. A Conway native, Fiddler earned his undergraduate degree from UCA in 1970 and his DDS from the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1973. He served the Conway community as a dentist for 43 years before retiring in 2016. Past service to his profession included as trustee to the American Dental Association’s 12th District and past president of the Arkansas State Dental Association. Fiddler’s new term will end in 2033.
HEALTHCARE
Corey Greene, APRN, has joined the Baptist Health Family Clinic-Salem Road as one of the team’s providers. Greene, a native of Hot Springs, attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for undergraduate studies. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2016 and, later, a Master of Nursing Science from UAMS in 2023. Greene, who brings more than 14 years of professional experience in the medical field, is dual board-certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Ambulatory Care Nursing.
UTILITIES
Matt Guyton, technology support specialist 1, has completed his SCADA Systems Refresher course, focused on advanced system functionality, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for maintaining the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system. SCADA plays a vital role in monitoring and controlling the electric system for Conway Corp, helping ensure reliability and quick response to outages or system irregularities. Guyton began at Conway Corp in 2021.
Jacob Moonigham has been promoted to telecom trouble technician 1 in the cable telecommunication systems department after completing his ADC technician certification, as well as the Broadband Premises Installation and Broadband Premises Troubleshooting certifications from the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers. Mooningham started at Conway Corp in 2022 as a telecom installer trainee.
Alex Barlow has been promoted to telecom construction technician 2 in the cable telecommunications department after completing his Broadband Fiber Installer certification. He will be responsible for on-call duties and gaining hands-on experience working with Passive Optical Network systems, a critical component of Conway Corp’s expanding telecommunications infrastructure. Barlow joined Conway Corp in 2024.
Connor Frost has been promoted to apprentice lineman 1 in the electric department. Frost began his career at Conway Corp in 2023.
Kyle Troxler and Cody Tackett have been promoted to journeyman lineman after completing a four-year apprenticeship program. They have logged more than 7,200 hours of on-the-job training. They will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electric distribution systems. Both Tackett and Troxler started at Conway Corp in 2018.
Peyton Freeman has been promoted to plant maintenance worker at the Roger Q. Mills Jr. Water Treatment Plant. He will oversee the operation and maintenance of critical equipment at the plant. He began his career at Conway Corp in 2023.
Wayne Evans has been promoted to AMI field operations supervisor in the engineering and planning department. He will oversee the health and performance of the automated metering infrastructure mesh network while facilitating critical data processes to ensure system reliability. Evans joined Conway Corp in 1997 as a meter reader.
Tracy Cargile has been promoted to field technician 2 in the engineering and planning department. He will contribute to the investigation of the automated metering infrastructure system and resolution of meter issues, ensuring dependable service through timely maintenance and replacements. Cargile joined Conway Corp in 2004 as a meter reader.
University of Central Arkansas Names Debbie Dailey as College of Education Dean
The University of Central Arkansas has announced that Debbie Dailey, Ph.D., has been selected as dean of the UCA College of Education following a national search.
“Dr. Dailey has guided the College of Education through a period of significant transition, bringing steady leadership to the complex work of educator preparation, state-level policy and accreditation,” UCA Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs Michael Hargis said. “As dean, she will continue to build on that foundation by championing student success, supporting faculty, strengthening partnerships and advancing the quality and reach of the college. Her vision for the college is rooted in people, and in creating the conditions where both educators and students can thrive.”
Over the past 13 years, Dailey has served UCA as a faculty member, chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, interim associate dean and interim dean. Before entering higher education, she spent 20 years in K-12 classrooms and schools. Those experiences continue to shape her deep commitment to educators and the students they serve.
Dailey earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in Biology and a Master of Science in Education in Biology from Arkansas State University, a graduate certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from Harding University, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
