Albert Yelich serves as residential collections supervisor for the City of Conway’s Department of Sanitation, where he oversees the completion of weekly trash and yard waste services for all Conway residents. Co-workers say Yelich goes above and beyond in the role, described as genuine, kind, and someone who cares deeply about the people of the community, with a great personality and a charismatic presence. 

Yelich has worked for the city for more than 13 years, starting his career in 2013 as a CDL driver before being promoted to supervisor in 2022. He said what he enjoys most about the job is being outside driving the streets of Conway every day and making himself available to help resolve any issues residents might have. 

Yelich grew up in southwest Little Rock and moved to Conway in 2005, a decision he calls one of the best his family ever made. He said he was looking for a more family-friendly workplace, and the Department of Sanitation has proven to be exactly that.
