Conway Corp Promotes Robert Meek 

Robert Meek has been promoted to assistant manager of the electric distribution system at Conway Corp

Meek will assist Henry Mason, manager of the electric distribution system, in directing and coordinating activities concerned with the operation of the electric department, including assigning manpower, materials and equipment as appropriate during emergency situations. 

Meek began his career at Conway Corp in 1999 as a groundman. He entered the apprentice lineman program in 2002 and was promoted to senior lineman in 2015, and senior foreman of the electric distribution system in 2020.  

Conway Corp Marketing Division Honored at Mid-America Cable Show 

The Conway Corp marketing division was honored with four MIDI Awards at the 2022 Mid-America Cable Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently 

Ashtyn Brown, production coordinator, was selected as winner for Best in Show and Community Programming: Single Program for a video she produced for the Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County

Brown, and the rest of the Conway Corp video production team — Jeff Matthews, manager; Wayne Bailey, senior production coordinator; and Javan Massey, production coordinator — were honored in the Community Program: Series category for their “Here & There” series. 

Massey was the winner in the Cable Advertising: Self-Promotion category for a video she created to alert the community about scammers in Conway attempting to take advantage of Conway Corp customers. 

Garcia Wealth Management Adds New Financial Representative 

Molly Scriber has joined Garcia Wealth Management-Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative. She started the role in October. 

Scriber will provide guidance and solutions to clients for an array of financial needs and goals. She graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a degree in entrepreneurial finance.  

Hendrix College Awards Odyssey Medal 

Ken Babcock, Beth Wiedower Jackson and Mel White are the 2022 recipients of Hendrix College’s Odyssey Medal, which is presented to alumni whose life achievements exemplify the ideals of the Hendrix Odyssey Program.  

Medalists are selected by the Hendrix Board of Trustees for their accomplishments in one of the six Odyssey categories: Artistic Creativity, Global Awareness, Professional and Leadership Development, Service to the World, Research, or Special Projects. 

Babcock was selected for special projects. Jackson was selected for service to the world. White was selected for global awareness.
