The west Conway Chick-fil-A on Prince Street is closed until Dec. 21 for upgrades to the drive-thru, both inside and outside the building.

Conway Chick-fil-A Owner and Operator Alan Kizer said the upgrades will increase team member execution and customer speed of service.

The project is two-phase. The first phase, being completed now, will extend the order taking positions of the drive-thru to allow more cars to pass through quicker. It will also expand drive-thru capabilities on the inside of the building, adding a door and more space for more team members.

“We have seen an increase in volume to the point we need more room,” Kizer said.

The second phase, which will be completed in 2024, will add a dedicated second lane as patrons approach the drive-thru.

“This will remove the cones where we will have two lanes dedicated to the drive-thru,” Kizer said. “That way, we will be able to move more cars in line and serve them quicker.”

Kizer said patrons could look toward upgrades made to the Chick-fil-A in the Conway Commons for what to expect in west Conway.

The construction is being completed by Empower Construction, a Texas-based company with operations in seven states including Arkansas. The company’s work with Chick-fil-A began in 2015 in Colorado and has included drive-thru canopy installations, parking lot restructures, remodels, and special projects.
