Conway Corp Announces Employee Certifications, Promotions
Conway Corp has announced several promotions and certifications of employees.
In the Cable Telecommunications Systems Department, Jason Schaal has been promoted to telecom training coordinator. Brent Brown was promoted from foreman to senior foreman for telecom trouble. Brent Garren was promoted from lead telecommunications maintenance technician to senior foreman for telecom maintenance. Ben Lawrence was promoted from foreman to senior foreman for telecom construction. Jeff Meriweather was promoted from foreman to senior foreman for telecom installation. Justin Moore was promoted from foreman to senior foreman for telecom business class services.
In the Marketing Division, Eleise Wood Myers was promoted to the role of manager for business solutions.
Network Operations Administrator Everett SenClair recently earned his Cisco CyberOps Associate certification. The certification program validates the day-to-day, tactical knowledge and skills that Security Operations Center (SOC) teams need to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats.
Conway Corp recently honored Wastewater Plant Operator Lance Harwell with the company’s annual Safety Leadership Award. The Safety Leadership Award recognizes an employee who inspires, improves and maintains best practices in safety.
Call Center Supervisor Lesia White received the company’s annual Tower of Excellence award. The Tower of Excellence Award recipient has made a significant impact on Conway Corp through outstanding dedication and exceptional job performance.
Customer Service Specialist Jennifer Brannon received the company’s annual Customer Service Award. The Customer Service Award recognizes an employee who is dedicated to improving customer satisfaction and consistently strives to exceed customer expectations internally and externally.
Network Engineer Brandon McNew recently earned the Cisco SD-WAN Operation and Deployment certification after successfully completing the required coursework and labs.
The SD-WAN course teaches how to deploy, manage, and operate a secure, programmable, and scalable SD-WAN fabric using IOS XE Cisco SD-WAN products.
Earning this certification also renewed McNew as a Cisco Certified Networking Professional. The CCNP, which has to be renewed every 3 years, is a professional level certification that is widely recognized in the networking industry.
McNew was hired as an installer trainee in the cable department in August 2006.
Dustin Arnold and Ashley Ferguson were recently promoted from Systems Analysts to Systems Analysts 2 in the Technology division.
In their new roles, Arnold and Ferguson will continue to focus on app and mobile development for the company both internally and externally.
Arnold and Ferguson both began their careers at Conway Corp in 2019 as Systems Analysts 1.
Dispatcher/System Operators Tyler Jackson, Joshua Martz and Diana Pollard recently completed the first of three modules of the Northwest Lineman College System Operator Certification course.
Each module demands around 150 hours of dedicated study and the completion of 6-8 tests per module.
Zac Hall recently earned his Class IV Water Distribution certification from the Arkansas Department of Health, the top level of achievement for licensed water distributors in the state.
UCA Names Associate Vice President of HR and Risk Management
The University of Central Arkansas has hired Bridget Fortenberry as the associate vice president of the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management.
In this role, Fortenberry will oversee operations of the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management, along with more than a dozen staff members who focus on recruitment, employment, insurance and benefits, employee relations, classification, compensation and personnel information systems.
Northwestern Mutual Opens New Conway Office, Celebrates Promotions
Northwestern Mutual celebrated the opening of its new Conway office on Nov. 1. The new office in Conway is home to two wealth management firms and eight individual advisors.
Along with the opening of the new office, Osmar A. Garcia has been named managing director of Northwestern Mutual of the Conway office, and Gilberto Garcia has been named growth and development director of the Conway office.
At Garcia Wealth Management, Gilberto has been named president and CEO, as Osmar will step into the title of co-founder and partner.

Mainstreatm Technologies recently hired James McAlister as a cybersecurity consultant. McAlister will work with clients on cybersecurity issues. He was most recently with Innovative Systems where he was general manager from 2017 to 2023.
UCA Announces New Head of Special Collections
Phoenix Smithey has been selected as the head of special collections and archivist for the Torreyson Library at the University of Central Arkansas.
The UCA Archives consists of a variety of collection types that provide significant source material for researchers’ needs. Included in the archives are rare book and newspaper collections, photograph collections, oral histories and much more.
