Austin Ford works at Flywheel Energy, where he trains new hires across multiple disciplines, from production to midstream, while helping maintain production and plunger health and supporting compressor station and pipeline operations as an operator. He brings 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to the role, five of them with Flywheel. 

Ford’s path to Flywheel came during COVID-19, when international travel for his previous employer came to a halt. He shifted to working domestically for that same employer out of a West Texas yard, but with his wife expecting a child, the couple knew something needed to change. The couple moved back to Arkansas to be closer to family. About seven months into working domestically, he was approached about an opportunity with Flywheel Energy and accepted the job offer the morning his son was born. 

A native of Atkins, Ford holds an associate degree in petroleum technology from the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. He has called Conway home for nine years. He said what he enjoys most about his job is the people he works with daily and the flexibility that allows him to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
